I wonder whether the bonus counts as taxable income or as tax free cashback. I'm just wondering if anyone has had trouble cashing in their old children's bonus bonds? My mums been tidying up and found £25 in premium bonds from way back when, perhaps over 50 years old, i seem to remember she did this a few years back and i found.

Hi, i recently found that my sister and i (23 and 20) were given children's bonus bonds as children.
In 1997 my father purchased children's bonus bonds in the names of his five grandchildren.
